Singing with us
We rehearse on wednesday evenings in Lantern (formerly Raynes Park) Methodist Church, Worple Road, London SW20 8RA. Rehearsals start at 8pm and usually end around 9.30pm.
There are no auditions. We encourage people to join us for one or more rehearsals on a trial basis. Many of the present members have excellent sight-reading ability, but this is a skill which comes with practice, so anyone interested in joining should not be deterred if their sight-reading is less than perfect.
The size of the choir is usually somewhere between twenty and thirty. On occasions we invite guest singers to join us when larger forces are needed.
Our philosophy has always been to perform music which is a little off the beaten track.
Much of our music is now distributed in pdf format, and members are asked to print their own copies.
We welcome new members in all sections.
